These fast and easy mini King Cakes, in the traditional Mardi Gras style, are perfect to make with Children.  Don't forget to add a King Cake Baby or a Feve on top!

GALETTE DES ROIS

The traditional King Cake served in the north of France.  A savory Puffed Pastry filled with frangipane (almond paste).

Served during the Epiphany Season, from January until the end of February, these wonderful cakes are available in every boulangerie.  Sold with a hidden feve and a paper crown.  Whoever finds the feve becomes King for the day!

GATEAU DES ROIS

In the shape of a crown, with candied fruits, this style of King Cake comes from Southern France.

This style doesn't normally have a feve hidden inside - but you can always start your own tradition!
